I have experienced this countless times over the years, and I can attest that it’s not dangerous. You just need to understand what you are up to.
So, if you are looking for answers about the light you saw while meditating, I’m going to explain my understanding. I hope you find the answers.
Spiritual Eye Meaning
The spiritual eye is a visible light located behind the darkness of a closed eye. Through this light, you can gaze into higher realms through meditation.
This is actually a reflection of cosmic energy that enters and sustains the body. When you focus your concentration and penetrate the spiritual eye, you’ll enter “the Spirit beyond creation.”
The portal of the cosmic energy to the body is the medulla oblongata, which is at the base of the brain.
The center of a spiritual eye has a five-pointed star, which is the door to your mind and can penetrate the inner kingdom.
Ideally, we are all created in the image and likeness of God. So, our bodies are designed based on the star of the spiritual eye.
So, when doing your daily tasks, focus on your spiritual eye, and your mind will remain uplifted. When you focus at this point through meditation, your heart will lead you through the spiritual eye to Infinity.

3 Types Of Spiritual Eyes
Now that you know what the spiritual eye is all about and its location, you must know there are three types of spiritual eyes: physical, mental, and spiritual.
Each of these spiritual eyes has its purpose and function. Let’s get into it!
Physical Eye:
The physical eye is the first type of spiritual eye. This is the natural eye you know about.
The physical eye brings about awareness and some uniqueness in the physical reality.
Mental Eye:
The second spiritual type of eye is the mental eye. It is also known as the eye of the mind as it’s expressed in intellect and imagination.
The mental eye can see, conceive, and bring things into physical reality.
This eye projects into the world of the unreal spiritually and physically. Also, it can see things that are yet to be real.
Spiritual Eye:
Now, there is a third eye called the spiritual eye. This type of eye sees spiritual realities.
Through this eye, we can see more than what the natural eye sees.
You may have heard of the spiritual world. This world is beyond what the mental and physical eye sees. Ideally, you can’t see God with a natural or mental eye.
The spiritual eye is an organ that can perceive and experience spiritual things.
Because of its uniqueness, there are also some subtypes of spiritual eyes.
There is an eye for understanding. According to the bible, Ephesians 1:18, these eye sees divine realities.
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people”
Ephesians 1:18
The second subtype is the prophetic eyes. This one sees a vision. The third subtype is the eye of faith, as mentioned in 2 Corinthians 5:7.
“For we live by faith, not by sight.“
2 Corinthians 5:7

How To See With Your Spiritual Eye?
To see your spiritual eye, don’t focus your eyes directly on the spiritual eye. This will make you so uncomfortable, and you can even cross your eyes.
You should feel relaxed and look slightly upward the same way you can gaze at the top of a distant story building. If meditating, ensure your eyes are closed.
If you maintain your focus and keep your thoughts still, you will start seeing the visible part of your spiritual eye. It doesn’t matter if you see your spiritual eye at this point.
If you’re meditating, your consciousness will slowly rise until it passes human awareness. It will then enter a state of joy, ecstasy, or superconsciousness.
Additionally, you can focus on your spiritual eye even in your waking life. This way, your mind will remain uplifted all day long.
To see with your spiritual eye during this period, channel your attention at this point while your eyes focus on the tasks at hand.
It’s also possible to look at someone else’s spiritual eye as it’s a reminder that God also leaves in that person.
When you focus at this point, and your senses dissolve into ecstasy, the center of your consciousness becomes your heart. Your heart will now be in control, showing you how to use the spiritual eye to uplift your spirit.
What Does The Spiritual Eye Look Like?
The spiritual eye is a halo of golden light that surrounds a deep blue field with a silvery white, five-pointed star in the center.
Meaning Of Seeing An Eye During Meditation
If it happens you are seeing an eye during meditation, then it’s a sign your subconscious is opening up.
Some people also associate this happening with having access to your third eye. The third eye is known to control your awareness and wisdom as it’s situated on your forehead.
When you see an eye in meditation, focus or concentrate on the five-pointed star in the center. The golden light will expand and then form a tunnel.
Through this tunnel, you will enter the light of the astral world. After some time, the blue light forms a tunnel.
Through it, you’ll enter the casual world’s light, the cosmic consciousness. Once you penetrate the star at the center, you’ll enter Spirit beyond creation.

Is It Dangerous To Activate The Spiritual Eye?
Well, activating your spiritual eye has both positive and negative outcomes.
So, we cannot say it’s that dangerous. Spiritually, the only danger you can face is your fears.
Though you will be exposing yourself to an overwhelming sensory output, you will have awakened your spiritual senses, which may expand your psychic abilities and awareness.
So, just believe you are safe, helped, guided, and protected to overcome your fears.
